GIB Tiling works as a tiling subcontractor on office, retail and hospitality projects across Perth and the thing builders and project managers come back for is not only the finish. It is also knowing the crew turns up on the dates agreed and clears the area when they said they would.
Tiling packages on new build and refurbishment projects, priced from drawings and programmed against your dates.
Retail and hospitality fit outs where the trading date is fixed and the sequence is tight. Night and weekend work where the site requires it.
Wet area refurbishments, common area flooring, remedial tiling and staged works in occupied buildings.
Office fit outs
Amenities, kitchenettes, lift lobbies, foyers and breakout spaces. Large format wall and floor installations where the finish is on display to every visitor who walks through the door.
Retail fit outs
Shopfront and internal floor finishes built to take trolley traffic, cleaning machinery and constant foot traffic without failing at the joints in eighteen months.
Hospitality venues
Commercial kitchens, wet areas and back of house floors where slip rating, drainage falls and coving to skirtings are a compliance matter, not a preference.
Commercial wet areas
Bathroom blocks, change rooms and amenities. Waterproofing to code, correct falls to floor wastes and junction detailing that stands up to commercial cleaning regimes.
Remedial and refurbishment work
Failed floors, drummy tiling and wet areas that have stopped performing. Assessed for cause first, because relaying tiles over an unresolved substrate problem simply buys time.
Common area flooring
Lobbies, corridors, stairwells and entries in strata and commercial buildings, staged to keep access open where the building has to stay operational.
Let GIB Tiling quote on your commercial fit-out project – you will not regret it.
We understand that commercial tiling is not domestic tiling on a larger scale. Slip ratings have to be specified to suit the area and its wet or dry classification rather than chosen for appearance.
Movement joints matter far more across a large floor plate than they ever do in a bathroom, because thermal and structural movement across that distance has to go somewhere.
Adhesives get selected for the substrate, the traffic loading and the tile format together. Coving, drainage falls and junction detailing in commercial kitchens and wet areas are all subject to requirements a residential job never encounters.
Getting these wrong is not a cosmetic problem. It is a failure that surfaces after handover.
Most commercial jobs are constrained by something other than the tiling itself. Trading hours, building access windows, other trades working in the same space or a fixed opening date with no flexibility in it.
GIB Tiling prices and programmes around those constraints rather than treating them as an inconvenience. That includes out of hours and staged work where the site demands it and it includes being straight at tender stage about what is achievable in the time available.
GIB Tiling carries current public liability insurance and works to documented safe work method statements on commercial sites.
Site inductions, JSAs and whatever else your safety management system requires are handled as part of mobilising, not treated as paperwork to be sorted out later.
Waterproofing in commercial wet areas is completed by certified water proofers to National Construction Code requirements. Insurance certificates and compliance documentation are available on request.
Commercial tiling is priced from drawings, specifications and a site inspection where access allows.
What you get back sets out the tiling scope, the products needed, the assumed substrate condition and the programme allowance. Where the specification leaves something open or where the substrate cannot be assessed until other trades have finished, that is identified as a qualification in the tender rather than left to surface as a variation later.
The volume of repeat work GIB Tiling does with Perth builders and shopfitters comes from that approach more than anything else.

Yes. Most commercial work comes through builders, head contractors and fit out companies, priced from drawings and programmed against the head contract dates.
Yes. Retail, hospitality and occupied commercial buildings frequently require night, weekend or staged work, and that gets built into the programme and the price from the outset.
Yes. Public liability certificates and safe work method statements are available on request and site specific documentation is completed as part of mobilising.
Usually the architect or designer, in which case we install to the specification. Where it has not been specified we will raise it because slip rating in commercial wet and food service areas carries compliance obligations that a residential job does not.
Yes and it starts with establishing why the original installation failed. Relaying over an unresolved substrate or movement problem produces the same outcome a second time.
Anything from a single tenancy through to multi stage works across a larger building. If the programme suits the crew size available, it will be quoted straight. If it does not, you will be told that rather than left waiting.
Forward drawings, specifications and your programme dates.
