Tile and Product Selection
The team advises on tile format, finish and product suitability for each area of the bathroom. Slip ratings for floor tiles, porosity for wet areas, format size relative to the room and how the layout will actually work in the space are all part of that conversation.
Strip Out and Preparation
Removal of existing tiles, substrate assessment and correction, screeding and levelling. This stage determines whether the finished renovation holds up for twenty years or starts causing problems within a few.
Certified Waterproofing
Waterproofing in wet areas is a legal requirement under the National Construction Code. GIB Tiling uses certified waterproofers on every bathroom renovation and the membrane is inspected before tiling begins.
Tile Installation
Floor to ceiling wall tiling, floor tiling, feature niches, window reveals and shower bays. Full adhesive coverage on every tile, correct floor falls to the drain and grout lines set out to run continuously across every plane.
Grouting and Finishing
Correct grout product for each application, clean joints throughout and silicone finishing at all internal corners and junctions. The bathroom is left clean and ready to use.

A bathroom renovation is disruptive by nature and the team works to keep that disruption to a minimum. Surfaces outside the work area are protected. The site is cleaned at the end of every day rather than at the end of the job. Our crew is respectful of the fact they are working in your home. When the job is finished the only evidence GIB Tiling was there is the new bathroom.
All GIB Tiling tradesmen are industry qualified with a minimum of 15 years experience each. The business carries current public liability insurance and all wet area waterproofing is completed by certified waterproofers in compliance with the National Construction Code and Western Australian building requirements.
